Destination Hampton

At night, take in the arts at The American Theatre, a 1908 restored vaudeville house. Kick up your heels at the Buckroe Beach Big Band concerts. Or hit downtown Hampton for a boisterous block party. Folks in Hampton know how to have fun.

A Hampton Convention
      is not all about business!

When the lights go dim or you’ve got a free afternoon, delegates can take in inter-nationally renowned musical performances and artists presented at the American Theater; enjoy a host of lively area restaurants that also serve up a healthy helping of fun live entertainment and dancing; and shop up and down the waterfront.

At the Power Plant, you’ll be able to kick back in the casual atmosphere of Joe’s Crab Shack and the Saddle Ridge Rock -n- Country Saloon and Cheyenne Supper Club. For some ethnicity, you can dine at McFadden’s Restaurant and Saloon, authentic recreation of a traditional New York-style Irish pub. There’s also the Lone Star Steakhouse and Saloon with its unmistakable “Texas roadhouse” ambiance.

With its 19,000-gallon freshwater aquarium, cascading waterfalls, rock-climbing walls, fly-casting areas and full archery, it’s more of an attraction than a store. The attraction overlooks Bass Pro Shops Lake, replete with boating and fishing demos for your enjoyment.
